On arrival you will be greeted by the team at Rann Riders by Kafila, who will also orient you with basic information about the property and its surrounding fauna.
The Little Rann of Kutch is home to the Indian wild ass (khur). The 4950 square kilometres (sq. km) “Little” Rann of Kutch is a salty desert in western India’s Kutch Peninsula that is characterized by enormous salt pans, shrubby islands, seasonal nullahs, marshes, and rocky hillocks or Dungars of volcanic origin. Originally, the Arabian Sea encompassed this unusual landscape. Geological causes caused the area to become isolated from the ocean, resulting in a huge, featureless plain covered in salt that is submerged by water during monsoon rains.
Post lunch proceed for your first safari experience in Little Rann of Kutch. Come back from the safari at sunset and proceed for a scrumptious meal for dinner. Overnight at Rann Riders by Kafila.

They will also educate you about the in-house birds that you might witness around the lodge, so keep your binoculars handy! Post lunch, proceed for an afternoon jeep safari to Velavadar National Park.
In Velavadar National Park there are 120 different bird species can be spotted in and around the park. In case you’re fortunate, you might even see wolves! The sanctuary is best visited in the morning when there is a far greater chance of spotting the wolves. While wolves are difficult to notice during the day, blackbucks are fairly easy to spot. There are plenty of blackbuck herds scattered around the pale gold grassland. The males travel together, while the females and fawns go in separate gendered groups.
